Pay it forward!
Growing up, my family stressed the importance of giving back to your community...be it local, national, or international. In that spirit, each month The Cottage Framery will donate a portion of sales to a different charity. You can be a part of this by purchasing custom framing, of course, or by suggesting specific receipients. Just e-mail me with your suggestions as we travel this journey together.
The Oct. charity was the Hannah Crossley Foundation in memory of one inspirational young lady!
Our cause for the month of Nov. was the 1st Lt. Louis Allen Scholarship and Community Foundation in honor of those who have served and those currently serving in our military.
For Dec., a donation was made to The Norton Lions Club Big Heart Fund in thanksgiving for their dedication to bringing Christmas to the people of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia.
In Jan., we assisted the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry wth a monetary donation to help feed local families.
Our mission in Feb. was to encourage and support preserving our history. Our receipient was the Minisink Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution as they work to save the historic Old Stone Schoolhouse of Goshen which was built in 1730.
Durng Mar., we successfully collected for The People for People Fund. This local organization serves as a means of providing temporary financial assistance, funded by individual contributions...helping each other, one neighbor at a time.
The charity for April and May was the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in loving memory of Randy...Godspeed.
For June, the receipient will be the Relay for Life as the battle against cancer continues.
The goal in July/Aug., was to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh. Each donation aids their mission of building homes, building hope, and building dignity for families in need.
With rememberance and respect, our Sept/Oct. mission was the New York Says Thank You Foundation in honor of the tenth anniversary of 911 and New York's gratitude to the American people.
Nov. benefited Goshen Farm Aid to assist the surrounding area farmers who lost entire crops and income during the recent hurricane and tropical storm.
